Name: Cowboy Gender: Male  Age: 2 1/2 years        Weight:    20 lbs      Status: Available

Is Cowboy the new best friend you have been looking for?

Cowboy is about 2 1/2 years old, though coming from Animal Control we can't be 100% positive...however, that is what the owner who dumped him said. Just didn't have time for this boy anymore! He deserves so much better from someone who will love him forever!

He is a beautiful boy with a very silky coat. Very sweet and looking for someone to give him the TLC he desperately needs. He weighs about 20 pounds, crate trained and has basic training though being smart would love to learn whatever you want to teach him. The only issues are that he doesn't seem to like dogs much larger than him and no cats. He is a bit protective of his food, but this could be due to the fact that he didn't seem to be getting regular meals as when he came into our Program, he was very skinny! Cowboy seems to enjoy the company of women more than men, but this could be because his previous owner was a man and only Cowboy knows what happened - and he ain't tellin' :D

He is of course neutered, current on all shots and heartworm negative.

Is this Texas Cowboy ready to come home to you? Only you can tell us that, so if you are interested, please email Brenda for an application and more information on our Adoption Program corundogs@att.net

Name: Zippy Gender: Male  Age:  2 yrs       Weight:  15 lbs         Status: Available

Everyone needs a little Zippy in their lives!

Our Zippy is looking for someone to love and would love to complete your life!! He weighs about 15 pounds and is about 2 years old, coming from Animal Control...that is just the experts best guess. Unfortunately, his previous owners didn't take proper care of him and he had to go through Heartworm Treatment but he has now completed it with flying colors. He needs someone who will never allow that to happen again!

He is very loveable and playful...hoping to find the Forever Home to give him back the joy he will bring to them. He gets along with most other dogs, but does have some fear aggression. He will need his new family to be patient with him and be aware that loud noises and quick movements make him uncomfortable.

He of course, as all of our dogs, is neutered, current on all shots and is trained to use a Doggie Door and crate trained. If you do not have a Doggie Door, he will just need to learn the rules of your home and the routine. It never takes a Boston Terrier too long to get with the program!

If our Zippy is what you have been needing to make your life complete, please email Brenda for an application and more information on our Adoption Program corundogs@att.net

Name:    Shirley Gender: Female  Age: 1 yr Weight:  25 lbs  Status: Available

Meet Shirley!

Shirley came into our program after being dumped at shelter, but you would never know it! She loves people despite being let down by her first owners. She just wants to give you kisses, sit in your lap and do whatever she can to make you happy!

And she is a very unique Boston Terrier, too!! While she is absolutely a pure bred Boston...she has a special trait that comes from her ancestors, but long ago became recessive! Shirley has a tail...a long tail! And she wags it like you have never seen a dog wag a tail :-) It shows you how happy she always is, which is all the time! Boston Terriers were bred with crosses between an English Bulldog and a now extinct English White Terrier. So she has something from her ancestors, and they don't even exist anymore - how fantastic is that??? Here are a couple of links on the English White Terrier if you want to read a bit about them.

Shirley is a bundle of love, up-to-date on all shots, altered, heartworm negative. Crate trained, 24.5 pounds, appears to be housebroken. About a year old, give or take. Likes to eat in her crate. She is a bit apprehensive when first meeting with a dog, but anyone who is dog savvy can deal with that issue with no problems.

So she is ready to start her new life, in a Forever Home where she will be treated like the special Kid she is!! Are you the right home for Shirley??? If so, please contact Brenda corundogs@att.net for an application and information about our rescue program.

Name: Willie Gender: Male  Age:             Weight:                 Status: Available
Willie is a wonderful Boston Terrier who came to us as a stray. He loves to play with a ball (typical BT) ,other dogs, people and loves being in waterholes. He sleeps with us and sits with us and watches TV. He is a small boy and so loveable. Will make someone a great friend.

Update - Willie has been diagnosed with cataracts, that could possibly be fixed by owner and a low grade heart murmur, which won't cause too much trouble but wanted to mention it.

For an application and information about our rescue program, contact corundogs@att.net for an application and information about our rescue.

Name Scooter Gender: Male  Age:   1 yr     Weight:                     Status: Available

This is Scooter...what a beautiful, sweet boy he is!

He came in with Sassy and another male Boston, pulled from a Puppy Mill due to neglect. For that to happen, the dogs must be in bad shape - and Scooter was! He was suffering from severe Demodex Mange and was almost completely bald!! Very few hairs on this boy's body...but just look at him now!

Isn't Scooter gorgeous!?!?! He has recovered completely and if kept in a healthy environment and on a good food for the rest of his life, most likely won't have any problems again!

He is a typical Boston is all of the ways Bostons are...even though he was raised in a cage without people interaction. He is a cuddle bug who just LOVES attention, and wants to be wherever his people are...just like every other Boston ever born!

He has mastered the potty training thing and will use a Doggy Door - if you don't have one, he will probably just need to learn the routine at your home. He is however a young boy...probably about a year old is all...and he loves to chew!!! He will need to learn what is his and what isn't, and lots of toys around so he won't be bored and find things that he shouldn't have.

If you are willing to give this special boy the special home he most definitely deserves, please contact Brenda  for an application and information about our rescue program.

Name: BJ Gender: Male Age: 5 yrs Weight: 25 lbs. Status: Available
BJ is a 25 pound neutered male. He is Heart worm neg. and is current on all shots and HW prevention. House broken and crate trained, leash trained, and likes to ride. BJ is probably 5 years old. He is a very loving and protective dog
which can make him aggressive to some but not all dogs. He can jump/climb a 6 chain link fence and will need a 6' stockade style fence. Most of his fence jumping is because he wants to be where you are ( back yard to  front yard, etc.). He will even come to backdoor and try to get you to come outside with him. Do not know how he is around cats. Good with children over the age of 5. BJ is a good, loving dog but probably needs to be an only dog. If you are looking for an only dog you will not be disappointed in this boy.
If you are interested in giving this great boy a home, contact corundogs@att.net for application and adoption information. BJ and I thank you.

Name: Lucky Juan Gender: M Age: 4 yrs    Weight: 38 lbs   Status: Available

Meet one of the smartest dogs I have ever known. Lucky Juan is about 4 year old, neutered male who weighs about 32 pounds. He is house trained, crate trained and his passion is playing ball (his rules) and playing with toys. He came to us as a stray from animal control.

Lucky Juan has been working very hard and has learned to walk on a lead like a pro and can go out and do his business on lead with no problem. He can understand complete sentences which very few dogs are able to do and Milk Bones are his very favorite treat. He sits on command if you have a treat in your hand. I am sure he would learn other commands easily.

He has accumulated as his personal possessions a doggie bed, retractable lead, winter coat, a doggie bone toy box, lots of toys and balls (his favorites), blankets and has his own very cool Harley Davidson hat.

This is one happy boy and smiles all the time. He loves to play ball (his rules) and if you get tired of playing ball with him, he can pop a racket ball out of his mouth, bounce it on a wall and catch it again. He also can unwrap a water hose, turn the water on and spray something with the water hose. He lives for being able to ride in a vehicle and will sit and watch all the vehicles that go by while traveling. He is definitely not one of those dogs that puts his nose on the windows either which is a definite plus.

Lucky Juan says he would like to be a trucker dog so he could takes rides all the time but it would also be cool just to get his own home and family. Due to his size, and energy, he would not work in a home with younger children.....teenagers would be a plus for him to play ball with.

He is highly animal aggressive so he must be in a home where there are no other animals around and it would be nice if he had a fenced yard to go outside with you to play. This is non-negotiable and unchangeable. Please do not ask us about adopting him if you have other animals in your home. If you currently have no animals in your home, are dog savvy and do not spend a great amount of time in places with other animals (meaning your parents or children or siblings do not bring their dogs over to your home for Holidays, etc) Lucky Juan could make the most wonderful companion you might ever know!

If you are interested in giving Lucky Juan a home, contact corundogs@att.net for an application and information about our rescue program. Lucky Juan and I thank you.

Update: Lucky Juan is now on Thyroid medication twice daily for an underactive thyroid. We have gotten his meds leaveled out. The cost of this medication is very inexpensive ($40.00 approx for 3 months) and he loves to take it with either creme cheese or pill pockets...............he thinks they are a treat!!
